What tea teaches over time

In the studio, Alison spends hours with the tea — tasting, observing, and learning from it. There are no shortcuts. Each batch behaves slightly differently, shaped by weather, harvest timing, and handling.

Over time, the lessons become clear. That restraint matters. That not every harvest needs to be pushed further. That knowing when to stop is as important as knowing what to change.

These moments inform everything we do. They remind us that tea rewards patience and attention, not control. The role of the maker is not to dominate the process, but to listen to it.
